History: Often called the Original Cuban Giants to distinguish them from the Cuban X-Giants, on an offshoot team, this club started out as a hotel team in Babylon, NY. The players were African-American, the Cuban name being a ruse to get around the racial obstacles at the time (though the team actually did train in Cuba). Before the color line was universally enforced, a couple of Black teams actually played in otherwise-white leagues.

History: This jersey was worn by the great Cuban-born Orestes Minnie Minoso (#10) - who like his hero Martin Dihigo, could play any position on the diamond. Minoso eventually broke into the Majors after integration, and became baseball's only six-decade player with a single plate appearance for St. Paul in 1993 at the age of 70.
