This shirt is based off of extant garments from the 18th century. Every working man, from commoners to pirates, possessed a shirt much like this one, allowing for much versatility in the garment. Today, clothes aren't so gendered as they were 250 years ago, and anyone can wear a garment such as this one, whether for a costume or in everyday wear.
